As I stood at the edge of the precipice, gazing out at the vast expanse of turbulent sea, the waves seemed to swirl and twist in impossible ways, as if the very fabric of reality was being torn asunder by their ceaseless motion. The sky above was a deep, foreboding shade of indigo, with clouds that appeared to be made of some sort of dark, rubbery material that quivered and flexed like living things.
